Approximately 25,000 households in Queensland's southeast woke up lacking electricity on Monday morning after intense storm systems impacted the state, producing strong winds topping 109 kilometers per hour.
Large Frozen Precipitation and Widespread Destruction
Residents observed large ice chunks measuring up to 7 centimeters in certain regions. The Bureau of Meteorology verified that multiple regions across Queensland had been affected by substantial ice precipitation.

Rescue organizations responded to over five hundred emergency reports across the area, primarily for property damage but also for collapsed vegetation and water accumulation.
